Grants for Early Care & Education

New Haven Expansion & Enhancement Grants for Early Care & Education

The early years of a child's life, from an infant to five years, are the most critical for learning. These are the formative years where the child's brain is still developing. When children are provided with high quality education during this stage of life, it can impact the trajectory of their lives--career, financial, mental, social and emotional stability. This is a key reason why the work of our early care and education partners is vital to greater New Haven children and its communities.

To support our partner's mission, United Way of Greater New Haven is offering grants to help early care and education programs provide high-quality care for New Haven children and families through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds by the City of New Haven.

The initial grants offered will be directed to child care programs with specific ideas for program enhancement and/or quality improvement. For more information about the New Haven Expansion & Enhancement Grants for Early Care & Education, go here.
