Because we fight for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community.
We prepare young children for school, promote physical and mental health, create pathways to financial stability, feed hungry families, and house those without a home. See how we help. And see who we help.
There are 3 ways you can get involved. You can donate, advocate for United Way by starting a workplace campaign, or volunteer.

Yes.
United Way’s program investments are made by a group of volunteer experts representing a cross-section of greater New Haven. These volunteers annually evaluate various community programs and make recommendations to the United Way Board of Directors regarding the strategies, partnerships, and roles that enable United Way to respond to community needs and change community conditions.
These volunteers bring community knowledge, content expertise, and strategic thinking skills to help United Way develop and execute its community agenda, make funding recommendations, and evaluate results.

Although many people find payroll deduction to be the most convenient way to donate, you can make your donation by check, cash or credit card. Just complete the pledge form by selecting the payment method and give it to your United Way campaign coordinator.
You may also send a pledge form and check in a sealed envelope to: United Way of Greater New Haven, 370 James Street, Suite 403, New Haven, CT 06513. Please note it is for your company’s United Way campaign.
