Back to School Drive 2022

Back to School Drive Header

Temperatures aren’t the only thing on the rise this summer! With the increased costs of housing, food, and transportation, families are doing their back-to-school shopping on a tighter budget than ever. For families experiencing homelessness, equipping their kids with the supplies they need to succeed at school is more difficult than ever.

You can help! United Way of Greater New Haven is partnering with the Shops at Yale to host a back-to-school drive. Help equip 120 school-aged children who are staying at two local shelters with the supplies needed to start off the school year strong!

Supplies needed include:

  • Backpacks

  • Notebooks

  • Pencils

  • Erasers

  • Pencil sharpeners

  • Rulers

  • Two pocket folders

  • Personal toiletries for students

SIGN UP HERE, then deliver your donations on Saturday, August 27th from 12PM – 3PM to the blue United Way tent at Broadway Island for a free ice cream voucher to Ashley’s Ice Cream!
