Now there's more than one way to file your taxes for free.
VITA – VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE
This service provides you with a trained volunteer income tax specialist who will prepare your taxes for you. They will ask you the right questions and process your paperwork according to your specific tax requirements. This free tax preparation service is for low-to-moderate-income individuals and families. United Way believes that this free service helps more families achieve financial stability—and thrive.
Last tax season, almost 4,000 neighbors were served and through VITA, $1.1M were saved in tax prep fees. That's approximately $300 on average per client. If your income is $68,00 or under, consider filing your taxes for free with VITA!
