Back to School Drive 2023

Temperatures aren’t the only thing on the rise this summer! With the increased costs of housing, food, and transportation, families are doing their back-to-school shopping on a tighter budget. For families experiencing homelessness, equipping their children with the supplies they need to succeed at school is more difficult than ever.

You can help these families by signing up for United Way's annual Back to School Drive! In partnership with the Shops at Yale, we invite you to collect new and unopened items for school-aged children and drop them off at Broadway Island on Saturday, August 26th from 12 PM – 3 PM.

Supplies needed include:

  • Backpacks
  • Notebooks
  • Writing Utensils (pencils, pens, sharpies, etc.)
  • Erasers
  • Pencil sharpeners
  • Rulers
  • Two Pocket Folders
  • Personal Toiletries for Students

SIGN UP HERE, then deliver your donations on Saturday, August 26th from 12 PM – 3 PM to the blue United Way tent at Broadway Island for a free ice cream voucher to Ashley’s Ice Cream!
