"I really appreciate you guys, all the help. I don't think I would be here if it wasn't for that," said Christina Hedglin.

We first met Christina Hedglin in 2016. She was living out of her Chevy Cavalier in East Haven, CT. United Way of Greater New Haven helped get Christina off the streets and into her new home. We’re back to check in on her progress and spread some holiday cheer. We surprised her with some donated items for her home, and donated gift cards so she can buy Christmas presents for her children.

United Way meets immediate needs, and we invest in long-term solutions. 15 months later Christina has a better job, and she reunited with her kids.
