UNITED WAY PARTNERS WITH YALE ATHLETICS

“As we start fresh in 2018, people want to know how they can make a difference for our struggling neighbors. Giving to United Way is a wonderful way to help,” said Jennifer Heath, President and CEO of United Way of Greater New Haven.

United Way of Greater New Haven proudly announces a new partnership with Yale Athletics to raise money and awareness for people who need it the most in our 12-town region.

“This partnership is about giving the Yale community a tangible way to give back to people who need a hand up. No gift is too small to help children and families struggling to make ends meet,” said Jeremy Makins, Yale’s Senior Associate Athletic Director.

On the day of January 12, 2018, Yale Athletics has agreed to raise money and awareness for the Yale in Action United Way Campaign. That means at the women’s basketball game that afternoon (12:00 PM at Payne Whitney Gymnasium), the men’s basketball game that night (5:30 PM at John J. Lee Amphitheater), and the men’s ice hockey game (7:00 PM at Ingalls Rink), you’ll see United Way staff and volunteers collecting donations and raising money through raffles.

If you can’t make the game, you can visit unitedway.yale.edu to make a donation online.
